Global Connections Bloomington Indiana Review

We were told that we had won a cruise for 2, for 8 days to the Carribean and included air fare. My boy friend was told that he had filled out a form for a car at some show and had won this instead. I was skeptical that it was a time share but she made a point to assuring us that it wasn’t. She said that she was from a travel agency and they were trying to get more people to use their agencys to book trips. We were told to be there at 7:45 that it would start at 8 but there would be paperwork to fill out. nWe live in Bloomington, In and we had to drive to the north side of Indianapolis. We thought we gave ourselves plenty of time. It was raining and there were 2 accidents. We arrived at 8:05. There were 2 young girls that were at the front desk. They asked our names and then told us to call the booking agent and reschedule. My boy friend told her that we had just driven 1 1/2 hours to get there. She said we were told to be 15 minutes early. I told her we would be happy to fill out the paperwork afterwards. We had just driven all that way in bad weather and were sorry we were late, but it was not our fault. nShe said no that we would have to reschedule. No apology from her. Not that she owed us one but seeing how upset we were it would have been easier if she was nice. I think if she would have been nicer it would not have been so bad. I asked to talk to her supervisor and she said no. I told her I wanted a busines card so I could check it out at home and make sure it wasn’t a scam. She didn’t have any. I asked her to write down the name of the company for me and she handed me a post it and a pen and told me to write it myself. I laid the pen down and as we started out the door I saw her roll her eyes at the other girl that was the last straw. I did something I had never done before. I am embarrassed to say I picked up the pen and threw it towards her. nNow after reading other complaints I realize it is an expensive travel club with high pitch sales. It looks like it is a scam. They offer you a package but you can get a better deal booking it all yourself. Plus it looks like they push you into buying in and then are not helpful. We were lucky not to have to sit through it. Wish we had saved our time and gas and never bothered.
